Another stress relief Strategy to stay focused and relax

Here is another stress relief Strategy to stay focused and relax. Do you know that the easiest way to enjoy stress relief is to be the best that you can be?

Let me explain.

Let’s say that you are cooking a meal and you decide that the Son Of A Bitch ( SOB) you are cooking for does not deserve your cooking. It has got to be very stressful to cook this meal because you cannot give of your best.

Why?

Because in your head you think the SOB does not deserve it. However if you were to consider a different perspective and cook the meal for the SOB from the heart giving it all you have got. Then you would enjoy stress relief.

So what is the moral of the story?

The SOB will always be the SOB. There is no need to stress out about the SOB. When you always give of your best then there are no SOBs, but merely another opportunity to prepare the best meal of your life or not.

Stress Relief and work life balance

Mary made the incredible discovery about how to get stress Relief and enjoy work life balance.

Let me explain

Mary used to go to the buffet table and stress herself out by piling everything up onto her plate. She would then return to her table and quickly devour her meal. After attacking her meal like a force to be reckoned with, she felt shockingly restless.

Multitasking

She discovered that this was like multitasking (attempting to do too many things at once.) Mary experienced amazing stress relief when she began taking small portions from the buffet table just like a bowl of soup. Enjoying the bowl of soup and then going back for another specific item like a salad.

This process of taking a little bit, although she could have a full plate, gave Mary the awesome experience of choice, relaxation and stress relief.

Excess

In life you can fill your plate with the dangerous excesses of life (too much food) or you can take on one task at a time (like a breath of fresh air) and complete it before starting another task. This simple process can become a powerful healthy habit (if practiced regularly).

So what is the moral of the story?

Taking a little bit at a time can result in you being more efficient and productive because you will no longer be stressed out about the excesses of having too much on your plate.

Improve your health by taking off your shoes

You can improve your health by taking off your shoes and enjoy stress relief during the holiday season.

Let me explain

When Mary came into my office I knew she was stressed because she was wearing her shoes. Normally Mary leaves her shoes at the door downstairs.

I was curious to discover how she created this stress. With a little detective work I discovered that Mary likes to take control of the situation.

Stress relief Strategy

Mary goes to work with a plan of action (this is what I plan to do today) but the nature of her work does not allow her to execute her plan. She is as busy as a cat on a hot tin roof.

Being busy takes Mary away form her plan (comfort zone) of action which really makes her feel like a fish out of water.

Getting rid of stress

In other words Mary wants to get rid of all the activities that cause her to be busy and get back to her plan of action. In trying to get back to her plan of action Mary is totally stressed because she sees no light at the end of the tunnel.

Plan of action is not an effective stress relief strategy

You see she just wants to do her plan of action which is “going against the grain”. So when Mary came into my office with her shoes on, I knew she was out of her usually routine. This meant that Mary was dealing with a stressful situation.

Mary wanted to control a situation which was out of her control at work. Instead of going with the flow of chaos in the office she wanted to put chaos in order.

So what is the moral of the story?

If you were to examine YOUR control factor, you may understand that you can create stress by attempting to force things to happen rather than going with the flow.

It’s Mary’s way or the highway.

Stress Relief Strategies for stress Management

Stress relief Strategies for stress Management can be very simple if you do not complicate the matter.

Let me explain

I voluntarily teach relaxation, at hospitals, right at the bedside of (heart, stroke and cancer) patients. During my weekly visit to the hospital some of the relatives of the sick thought that stress relief is no longer necessary.

The relatives explained that since they have the house, the mortgage, the cat, the dog and all these material things that they have forgotten all about relaxation and its benefits.

We tend to forsake the little things in life for progress (material gain). Progress with stress relief is based on incorporating change with the simple things in life. It is like a clouded crystal ball. You need to clean up the cloud in the ball before you can use it.

So what is the moral of the story?

Stress relief comes from relaxation. Relaxation (if practiced regularly) allows you to enjoy a good night sleep, eat proper meals and have the time and energy to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
