Stress relief strategies for taking a time out can improve your health and give you more time to spend with your family.

Let me explain

Mary came to see me because she wanted to relief stress by spending more time with herself.

Mary took her children to school every morning and then she went to work. At work she had a very hectic job of training employers how to deal with injuries on the job. Mary often got so engrossed in her job that taking a time out was oblivious to her.

Cannot find stress relief

At the end of the day Mary reported that she noticed that she did not feel like she found
stress relief. I facilitated Mary so that she could have a different perspective on her challenge.

Stress relief strategies changes perspective

Mary now understands that to take a time out is only possible when she feels that she makes time for stress relief. Taking a time out is something that she now notices has to be incorporated into her day. Mary tells herself she needs to notice the feeling of a stress relief break. Then she is aware that it is ok taking a time out for herself.

Taking a time out is necessary

Taking a time out is mandatory because it helps you to stay focused. This break of stress relief when practiced regularly helps relief stress. When you have become proficient at taking a time out daily you will notice profound improvements in your health.

So what is the moral of the story?

Taking a time out is not automatic like manna falling from the sky which says look at me, listen to me or take me. Taking a time out need to be planned as part of your daily routine in order for you to notice the sound of the feeling of stress relief.

You can enjoy stress relief and perfection when you no longer need to be in control.

Let me explain

Mary got profound stress relief by always being in control. Over the years however, the more she thought she was in control, the less stress relief she experienced. This made her feel helpless. Mary felt like she was burning the candle at both ends.

Stress relief strategies to stay focused although simple can be difficult to execute.

Let me explain

Mary was enjoying stress relief on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. She decided for some unknown reason to force things to happen faster. You see her stress relief strategies were to accomplish all her goals and desires instantly.

Instant stress relief and Success

Mary believed that the sooner she became financially successful with the beautiful home, fulfilling career, adoring children and a loving partner that she would have it made in the shade. This belief drove her stress relief strategies for instant success.

Left the tap running because she could not take the time to stay focused

Mary went into her basement from her kitchen and forgot to turn off the tap in the kitchen sink. She rushed into her basement and started to clean a room in the basement.
After a while, Mary noticed a drop of water because of the soft sound it made on the
table beside her.

Flooded kitchen

She hurried up the stairs to investigate the source of the water. When Mary walked into her kitchen, she was greeted by the flowing room temperature water on her feet as she noticed the water bubbling up, from her over-flowing sink.

Used one of her stress relief strategies

As soon as Mary realized that she had left the tap running in the kitchen, she did not get mad. Mary remembered and used one of her stress relief strategies. She stopped and accepted in her mind that she had made a mistake (left the tap running).

The benefit of stress relief and acceptance

This acceptance allowed Mary to recall her feeling of stress relief. In this state of mind, it was then very easy for Mary to stay focused and mop up the water in her kitchen without being angry for leaving the tap running.

So what is the moral of the story?

When you force things to happen it will cost you more of your time and effort correcting the mess you have made in the process. Stop rushing around and go with the flow.

Get less stress and find more time for you and your family

You can get less stress and find more time for you and your family when you put
yourself first.

Let me explain

Mary was searching desperately to find more time to get less stress
but all she could see was more and more stress. So I asked Mary what she
did during the week to find this elusive stress relief.

Here are her answers:

I merely fed the answers back to Mary, to give her a different perspective on stress relief.

1. Visited a friend in the hospital instead of going to her regular weekly meditation class.

2. Bought a membership to a health club to make other people happy.

3. When she receives genuine compliments she has difficulty accepting them.

4. Not listening to her children.

5. Not listening to her partner.

6. Not allowing her children to grow up and get some bruises (always wanting to protect them).

7. Giving her opinion when it was not solicited.

In every one of the above situations Mary could not find more time to enjoy less stress because she was busy pleasing others. Mary could not believe what she saw on paper (I actually wrote out my interpretation of her responses to which Mary agreed.)

You need to please others

You have probably heard that you need to do things to please yourself. However this concept has the stigma attached, that to please yourself is selfish.

Let’s examine this misconception for a moment. In Mary’s case I am going to use the first thing she said she did to find stress relief.

1. Visited a friend in the hospital instead of going to her regular weekly meditation class.

Now Mary could have gone to the hospital another day and visited her friend. I have checked with Mary a week later and her friend is still alive and making progress. However when Mary left the hospital she felt drained. Mary goes home to her children and partner feeling tired and she has no time for them because she is dog tired.

Family all stressed out

Now it makes her partner and her children wonder when she is going to find more time to spend with them (her family). In order not to get attached to the stigma of being selfish, Mary followed her understanding (stigma of being selfish) and went to the hospital.

So what are her consequences?

Mary came home drained instead of enjoying less stress. If she had attended her meditation class she would be able to find more time to spend with her family.

Mary had no time for her family.

Mary has no time for herself.

Mary now understands the havoc she has been creating in attempting to find more time to experience less stress in her life.

So what is the moral of the story?

You first need to move beyond the stigma that to please ourselves first is selfish. When you accept yourself first then it will be easier for you to find more time to enjoy less stress.

Stress Relief and the Law of Attraction

Stress Relief and the Law of attraction can help you get what ever you want. The law of attraction is all about what you think about you will manifest. Let’s say you bought a new car. Then you will start to notice lots of new cars just like yours.

If you attended a party you will discover that there are pockets of people having conversations. You may notice working moms, dog lovers, Busy Business People in separate clusters. There is energy (law of attraction) where people of like minds tend to hang out together.

The Question

The challenge is what stops you from enjoying the law of attraction and
manifesting what ever you want?

The Answer

The answer is very simple. There is an objective and a subjective desire.

An objective desire

An objective desire may be buying a new car (something you can see and touch).

Subjective desire

A subjective desire could be having better communication with your partner. Let’s say in your language YOU refer to your partner as S.O.B. verbally or none verbally. Over a period of time the law of attraction will take place. Your partner will begin or continue to act like a S.O.B.

Understanding the law of attraction

The difficulty with understanding the law of attraction is generally lost because we think we can hide our thoughts. Thoughts are things and energy and although we think we are hiding our thoughts we are actually manifesting them.

For example you’re cooking and you remember that Sue’s banister needs fixing. Instead of cooking and enjoying stress relief, your mind wonders over to Sue’s broken banister. Next thing you know you have cut your finger.

Lack of focus

The cut on your finger is a direct result of the lack of focus on what you are presently doing. Yes thoughts are things. If you want to benefit from the law of attraction then you need to pay very close attention to your thoughts.

Sum Total of your thoughts

Whatever you have in you’re life at the moment is the sum total of your thoughts. The Law of attraction works whether you like it or not.
Your present state whether positive or negative is an accumulation of your
thoughts.

Holding Positive thoughts

When you understand how to hold positive thoughts constantly you will notice profound shifts in the behavior of the people around you.

So what is the solution?

1. First you need to understand that you are creating you destiny through your language verbally or none verbally.

2. Secondly since you’re creating your destiny with your language it is important that you choose the words you use carefully.

3. Third focus on the wonderfully positive behaviors of your partner or children rather than their shortcomings.

So what is the moral of the story?

It is time to stop blaming others for your inadequacies and take responsibility for manifesting abundant living through your language.

Relief stress and find more time to play

Relief stress and find more time to play will result in stress relief and
better health.

Stress Relief a problem

Mary experienced stress relief for a brief moment each day. However, Mary
wondered what she needed to do to prolong this experience to her entire day.

Let me explain.

Mary enjoyed feeling the water on her skin as she had yet another fabulous shower in the morning. These showers reminder her of how she used to play as a child. After enjoying her shower, Mary would dismiss this wonderful feeling because she now has to go to work and do her daily chores.

Relief stress by playing more often

At the end of the day or upon completion of her chores, Mary would then think of playing again to relief stress. Her only problem was that she was now too tired and could not find more time to play. Through a facilitation process Mary realized it was necessary to relief stress by playing more often.

Relief stress insights

Mary now understood that she had never given herself permission to play. She always thought that she had to work hard to relief stress and then she could play.

No need to work hard before you can enjoy Stress relief

Having fun while enjoying her chores (playing) has become a stress relief concept Mary now incorporates into her daily routine. The concept of play was difficult to understand when she believed she had to work hard to relief stress before she can have fun. Now she can find more timeto play.

So what is the moral of the story?

“Play” is simply a state of mind and you don’t need to wait until the end of the day, week, month or year to relief stress. You can choose to relief stress by playing every moment of the day. Playing at work regularly will allow you to constantly experience stress relief and be more productive.

Stress Relief can help you stay focused

Stress Relief can help you stay focused especially if you are always rushing or in a hurry.Let me explainMary had made great progress on her journey of enjoying stress relief. Every now and then, Mary would run into a road block, because life did not go the way she expected. This road block was evident when Mary felt stuck (rushing or always in a hurry) and was no longer enjoying stress relief.

So how did Mary become unstuck?

When Mary became stuck she became very irritable and impatient. She started to rush herself out of this stuck state in order to stay focused.  However the more she rushed the deeper she got into her stuck state.

With some facilitation, Mary discovered that she could stay focused by playing more in her life (Mary was taking life too serious).

Playing more

Mary could play and stay focused in many ways. Perhaps the simple and most exciting way was to recall a pleasant memory. Mary quickly and easily recalled the time when she was 15 years old and she stole her father’s car.

Pleasant memory

This memory helped Mary to stay focused while regaining her self-confidence and patients. Play for Mary now meant stealing her father’s car and she could find this awesome memory instantly. In her playing state Mary found the answer to her stuck state.

So what is the moral of the story?

A stuck state is merely an opportunity to stay focused. life lessons are usually presented to you as “road blocks.” Now you can choose to play (find a past pleasant memory). Recalling this memory will allow you to receive answers to your stuck state.
