Improve your health and enjoy stress relief by forcing life

You can improve your health and enjoy stress relief by forcing life or going with the flow. Harry desperately needed stress relief. The harder Harry went looking for stress relief the farther away he felt he was becoming.

I met Harry on one of my regular visits to hospitals as a volunteer who facilitate relaxation by the bedside in 3 minutes or less for heart, stroke and cancer patients.

Let me explain

Harry’s progress was up and down like a toilet seat. I met Harry about six weeks ago. I suggested to him that he take it easy and enjoy life.

Take this opportunity to learn to slow down and be grateful for small blessings. Harry however had a totally different opinion. Harry believed that you can improve your health by forcing the process of healing.

You see one week ago Harry got better and was supposed to be discharged from the hospital. Harry got really excited and started asking all kinds of question. Harry put this pressure on himself because of all the questions he was asking the nursing staff and he had a relapse.

Next two weeks Harry recovered and was supposed to go home again. The following morning Harry’s left leg was swollen and Harry again tells me he wants to go home. In the meanwhile most of the patients I had been seeing in the last six weeks were all discharged from the hospital.

So what is the moral of the story?

Your mind is a very powerful tool which can create illness or heal your body. You mind cannot heal if you constantly force the process of healing. The healing process happens naturally with proper care, rest, and mind set.

When you attempt to force the process of healing consciously or unconsciously you only extend the length of time it takes before you improve your health and enjoy stress relief.

Learn how to stay focused and stop being mean, stingy and cheap to get attention

You can learn how to stay focused and stop being mean, stingy and cheap to get attention.Mary wanted to experience stress relief in her relationships but all she seemed to be attracting were partners who were mean, stingy and cheap. So Mary requested my assistance to help her solve her problem.

Let me explain

Mary had lots of shoes and she was always well dressed. She was so well dressed that every strand of her hair appeared to be always in place. Mary always got compliments about the way she dressed and her shoes accentuated her wonderful presence.

Mary could find the best deals for the most expensive shoes and she knew where and when to buy her shoes.Mary was very successful at acquiring a stable of shoes over the years. Some of her friends claim that she reminded them of Imelda Marcos. Now with this beautiful collection of shoes you would think that this would make Mary happy.

Unhappy with attachments

Mary was unhappy because she got attached to her shoes. Although her shoes provided her with all the attention she so desperately needed. With some facilitation Mary discovered that she married in order to get attention.

Marriage, shoes and a relationship

So when she got married she surrendered herself. Now after marriage she has her shoes and a relationship. Mary realized that her shoes and her attitude towards purchasing her shoes were all related.

When she purchased her shoes, Mary admitted that she had a mean, stingy and cheap attitude. She stayed focused on spending as little money as possible to buy shoes in order to get attention. Therefore she acquired fabulous shoes with very little money. Through her success and attachment to shoes Mary had became consumed by being mean, stingy and cheap in order to get attention.

Bought shoes at retail

Consequently, her friends and her partner were attracted (the law of attraction) to her like a magnet of mean, stingy and cheapness. After Mary discover the root of her problem, for the first time in her life went to the store, ask the sales person for help and bought a pair of shoes at retail in less than 5 minutes.

So what is the moral of the story?

Seeking attention in life can cause you to lose focus. When you lose focus because of external desires, you may also lose your sense of self. This feeling of lost of self can create shocking helplessness because you may try to find yourself by not listening, and ignoring all the subtle messages that are presented to you daily to help you understand your challenge.

Improve your health and avoid excruciating pain

You can Improve your health and avoid excruciating pain by listening to your messages. Mary left a message on my phone requesting stress relief. She also wondered if I offered stress relief by making house calls.

When I returned Mary’s call she told me that she was on her knees on the floor buckled
up in pain. I knew right away what her problem was, so I facilitated her on the telephone. Within 20 minutes Mary was standing, moving around without pain and enjoying stress relief.

Let me explain

Mary constantly receives messages or insights suggesting that she does simple things like take a nap, slow down or play with her children. Mary has habitually ignored these messages. Consequently, the messages she ignored manifested themselves in the form of excruciating pain. This incredible pain made her feel as though she were crippled.

Mary was actually wound up like a top in pain.

So what is the moral of the story?

When you are blessed with the awareness of subtle messages that the universe presents to you, so that you can enjoy stress relief, you need to listen and act instantly. This action will save you a lot of pain and discomfort and allow you to improve your health.

How to get stress relief and better health

How to get stress relief and better health ? This desire is often misunderstood and can
create more stress in your life. Harry wanted stress relief but he had difficulty understanding the frustration he was experiencing.

Let me explain

Harry was financially independent and could afford to give his partner whatever she wanted. Harry got stress relief from giving to his partner and seeing the joy on her face. Harry however got nothing in return although he was very generous.

This really infuriated Harry because the more he gave, the more his partner demanded. Harry felt guilty and gave more and more. So instead of having better health, Harry became more and more stressed.

Harry never thought of giving anything to himself because he believed that he did not need to receive because he had it all. What this means is that Harry never received anything from anybody unconditionally. He was taught that those who give unconditionally had to have a hidden agenda.

One day Harry bought some stamps at the post office. The ATM machine was broken and Harry was short by $1.67. A young lady in the line paid the $1.67 to make up the difference.

Harry reluctantly accepted with a smile on his face and admitted that this was the first
time in over 60 years that he had ever received anything from anybody (especially a total
stranger).

So what is the moral of the story?

It’s OK to give to others but you must first notice how to give to yourself. When you experience the feeling of giving to yourself you may become aware of the sweet sound of the feeling relaxation and stress relief.

Moms can enjoy relaxation by enabling

Moms can enjoy relaxation by enabling. This is a myth which will be discussed through
Mary’s experiences.

Let me explain.

Mary wanted to experience stress relief but whatever she did seem to take her further away from experiencing relaxation. Mary came to see me with the dilemma of finding and keeping stress relief.

I needed to understand what Mary was doing so exquisitely made her avoid a state of relaxation. Mary explained that she was driven by the thought “I have to help other people”.

Mary had been practicing Meditation and would become relaxed and enjoy stress relief. However, if anyone called with a problem she would automatically switch from her relaxed stress relief state to the state of “I have to help other people”. What this means is that Mary took on the person’s problem and quickly provided a solution.

Mary the problem solver

Mary became proud of her reputation of helping other people experience relaxation. What Mary did not realize was that she was actually having her friends and families become dependent upon her for her problem solving skills. Every time, her husband, children or friends had a problem they would call Mary.

The problem solvers aha! Moment

Through my facilitation Mary had an epiphany. Mary discovered that although she enjoyed
stress relief by “helping other people”, she was exhausted at the end of the day. Mary’s aha! Moment came when she noticed the feeling of not enabling her friends and family.

Allowing them to make mistakes and learn from their experiences (she no longer had the
feeling “I have to help other people”). She had unconsciously set herself up as the person or authority for helping other people solve problems. This service of providing problem solving also provided Mary with stress relief.

Mary now understands the old saying “physician, heal thyself”. You cannot help some one
until you first learn to help yourself.

So what is the moral of the story?

You may have good intentions to help people. A good intention does not mean enabling people by solving their problems so that you can enjoy stress relief. People only learn from their mistakes and feedback they receive.

Can meditation get you stress relief from a molar root canal?

Can meditation get you stress relief from a molar root canal? Maybe, Maybe not

Have you ever thought that you could experience stress relief by going to the dentist? Today let me share with you my story of getting stress relief from going to thedentist.

Here is my story

Two weeks ago I left home to go for a walk. As I was walking I noticed a feeling of
discomfort in one of my teeth. I decided to drop in to see my dentist and check out my concern.

The appointment

Without an appointment, my dentist saw me. He took an x-ray and then told me that the x-ray results indicated that I needed to have a molar root canal to fix the problem. (My dentist had flagged this tooth previously so he was not surprised at the results.)

Two weeks waiting period for a root canal extraction

That’s the good news. The bad news was that I would have to wait two weeks before I could have another appointment. The dentist offered to write me a prescription because he thought that I would need something to help with the pain.

He believed that if I did not take the medication my face might swell up like a balloon. I told him “I beg to differ” and refused to take the prescription.

Fast forward to the day of my dental appointment two weeks later

As I was sitting in the dentist’s chair, he asked me about taking the medication (remember, no medication equals face swelling up). Some people believe in allopathy. I will
explain that later.

Taken no pain medication for stress relief

I looked lovingly into my dentist’s eyes and told him he was a good dentist and he should stick to what he is good at. I also reminded him that I teach meditation and I am also good at what I do, so let’s not cross the line (I had not taken any pain medication for two weeks and was in no discomfort).

The two hour dental operation

While my dentist was performing the two hour operation I went into a deep meditation. When I went home from the dentist my partner and my daughter wondered how I was feeling. Because of the deep meditation there was no pain or discomfort.

I actually taught my regular Wednesday night meditation class that evening and my students could not believe that I was comfortable teaching and enjoying stress relief.

One of my students asked about the pain associated with the freezing when it wore off.
The deep meditation I had done while sitting in the dentist’s chair took care of the pain of the discomfort when the freezing wore off.

I had promised earlier to tell you about the word allopathy.

An allopathic is someone who believes in treating the symptoms of pain rather than the
cause thus the “have pains take a pill” mentality. When you practice meditation your learn how to embrace pain rather than pushing it away.

So what is the moral of the story?

Going to the dentist is mind over matter in the context of meditation. Your can fight the pain and create greater discomfort, take medication, or you can embrace the pain through meditation and enjoy profound stress relief.

Meditation or Medication can get you stress relief

Meditation or medication can get you stress relief especially from sleepless nights.
Mary used to meditate and enjoy stress relief but now she has issues sleeping at night.

When Mary came to see me, she thought she had stressful issues with her family and her work. She did have stressful situations in her life. However her desire for stress relief was clouded by another issue.

Let me explain.

Mary used to be able to get a good night’s sleep. I explored with her the real point in time when she stopped enjoying having stress relief and a good night’s sleep. Mary
revealed that she stopped enjoying a good night’s sleep when she stopped listening to her meditation CD’s.

Stop listening to her meditation CD’s

Mary stopped listening to her meditation CD’s when she broke her CD player. She also could not be bothered spending $70.00 (what Mary wanted to spend) on a new CD player in order to enjoy stress relief. Mary also acknowledged that she could have played her meditation CD’s on her laptop computer or DVD player.

Meditation or medication

So instead of going to the doctor (as Mary did) to increase her medication to help her
sleep at night and enjoy stress relief, all she had to do was to buy a CD player for $70.00.

So what is the moral of the story?

You can find excuses for everything in life. The truth is that the solution to life’s problems, are usually very simple. When you find the time to meditate, so that you can stop and listen to your fog (answers) then you will begin to enjoy stress relief.
