Acceptance Of Self: Are You Missing This Short Cut To Acceptance Of Self?

Acceptance Of Self And ChangeTelevision has been telling us how we need to look in order to be successful. And you may think your life can change overnight when you make these cosmetic changes. Unfortunately, this is struggle to achieve this dream is a waste of time and money.

This failure is totally unnecessary. In fact I am about to reveal the missing short cut to acceptance of self.

I was teaching class one day, standing in the middle of two ladies. I was within earshot of both of these ladies talking at the same time.

The lady on my left, the shorter lady, had large breasts and she was saying, “Boy, these large breasts are so uncomfortable in the summer when it gets hot. I wish they weren’t so large.”

On the other side, the lady was saying, “My breasts are so small. Boy, I would like larger breasts.” I couldn’t believe it. I was in the middle of this thing, left ear and right ear. It was like a song.

I have other clients who have marks on their faces. Our society says, “You can fix anything. You can enlarge it or you can make it smaller.”

We seem to get caught up in this whole idea that we have to look the way somebody decides we’re supposed to look. Whether it’s TV or the media, I don’t know who it is, but somebody made this decision.

Whoever made this decision is very powerful because it’s a big industry out there.

Wayne: How do we change that? How do we change our thoughts about ourselves?

Cecil: You first have to accept that whatever you have is given to you for a reason. If you can accept that, then you don’t have a problem.

I’m also bowlegged.

I was in Barbados at some point in time. I had just gotten off the plane and it was dark. I was standing in the middle of the street. A friend of mine called and said, “Macky, what are you doing in Barbados?” They call me Macky in Barbados.

I said, “How do you know that I’m in Barbados? I just got off the plane.” He said, “You have bowlegs. I know your bowlegs.” You see, I used to be a runner in Barbados and I was pretty successful at it, so they knew my legs.

A lot of times the things that we think are negative, people use to remember us or mark us. They’re beautiful.

I have been teaching my students that whatever you have is fine. I have two ladies now who have marks on their face and they want to do something about it. I had two ladies who came to me and they had breast enhancements.

After working with me for a year, they had to ask themselves, “Why did we waste our money?” I said, “Don’t look at me. I’m here to teach you.” They said, “We wasted our money to get this done.” I said, “Yes, but you weren’t working with me at the time, so forget about it. It’s a lesson learned.”

It hurts my heart to see good intention entrepreneurs disappointed with acceptance of self. So i hope you will take the priceless short cuts you discovered in the last few minutes to avoid this trap. And to realize the acceptance of self is what makes you and your service unique. It is possible and only a few short steps away.

Purpose Of Life: How Do I Find Purpose Of Life Quickly If I Have Never Done It Before?

Focus On Purpose Of LifeIf you are an entrepreneur, solopreneur or a baby boomer who do not know how to slow down, one of the questions that can drive you crazy is:

Does stress cause you not to exercise when your mind is already clouded with so many things you have to do to keep your business running?

It gets even more confusing when all the answers you get only makes you feel more frustrated.
Well, it’s time to put all this tension behind you, because I am about to reveal the secret that will put this puzzling question to bed once and for all. And it doesn’t involve spending a penny or having to work any harder.

Cecil: When we’re stressed out, we may blame the stress for lack of exercising. But the reality is that we need to have a purpose in life. You need to decide what you want. This is the challenge that most of us have. It doesn’t matter where you are in life. You need to know what you want. The most important thing is to accept yourself at the moment where you are.

Let’s assume you’re overweight, for example. You need to accept that. The challenge is to accept that you’re overweight. “Stress causes you to avoid exercising,” is not really the issue here.

The issue is that you haven’t accepted where you are. You have to accept, “This is where I am right now.”

Let’s assume you are going on a holiday. You phone the travel agency and say, “I want to go on holiday.” The travel agent says, “Fine. Where do you want to go?”

Let’s say you want to go to Barbados. The travel agent needs to know where you are at the moment in order to book the flight. They can’t get you there if they don’t know where you are starting from.

It’s the same thing with avoiding exercise. You need to know where you are right now. If you’re overweight, you’re overweight.

So what?

Knowing where you are makes it easy for you to take the steps that are necessary to do what you want to do.

If you go into denial and decide, “I am not overweight. There’s nothing wrong with me,” that is where the problem is. Nobody can help you because you decided there is nothing wrong with you.

So take a deep breath. This is very important: Exercising or not, is not the solution to your purpose in life. Stress does not stop you from exercising. If having a purpose in life is not easy and productive why do it at all? Simply follow the step outlined above and you will soon discover that you are on your way to applying purpose of life to your daily schedule.

Serious Health Problems: One Catastrophic Mistake That Create Serious Health Problems…

Serious Health Problems not an issue hereWayne: Stress creates health problems. That is so true. Isn’t it, Cecil?

Cecil: Yes, it is. It’s especially true for busy business people, baby boomers and moms. The issue is that we are busy. When we’re busy, we forsake everything. That is one problem. We’ve been taught to look after other people before we look after ourselves.

For us to be selfish and do something for ourselves goes against everything we have been taught. Along with doing things for ourselves and looking after our health is the emotion and issue of feeling guilty.

You need to look after your partner. You need to look after your children. You need to look after the boss. You need to look after everybody. Who comes last? You come last because you’re too busy looking after everybody.

The sad thing about looking after everybody else is that you know what everybody wants specifically. You attempt to satisfy them.

For example, if you’re a wife, you need to cook four to five different meals to satisfy the family or do things four or five different ways.

When doing that, you seldom do things for yourself.

Whatever they ask you to do, you do it. You don’t do it for yourself. You’re too busy, “I don’t have time to do what I want for myself. I should do it for others.”

I find that a lot of parents do everything for their children. If you don’t believe what I’m saying, ask that child to take out the garbage and see what they say to you.

The child will say, “Take out the garbage?”

What’s frustrating is you say, “I’ve done everything for this child. I’ve done everything for this person. I ask them to do one simple thing for me and they ignore me.”

We become suckers when we do everything for everybody else. Everybody knows, “He’ll do it,” or “She’ll do it. I won’t worry about it. They’ll take care of everything.”

The person who does it gets a lot of pleasure from being noticed. They’re noticed for doing things for other people. What happens as a consequence is that particular person forgets to do things for themselves.

They get this satisfaction and adulation from other people. For them to do things for themselves is an issue.

For example, one of my clients went to the hair dresser and had her hair tinted. She went back home and nobody noticed that she had her hair done. She was mad. “Mad” is mildly put.

She said, “Cecil, nobody noticed me.”
I said, “What do you mean, ‘noticed you’?”
She said, “I had my hair done.
I said, “So? Who did you get your hair done for?”
She said, “I did it so others would complement me.”
I said, “You can’t get your hair done for others.
You have to get your hair done for you.
Who cares what other people think?”

Unfortunately, this society is a lot about what people think about you. I totally disagree with it, but that’s the way we think we have to behave.

The interesting thing about being healthy is the fantastic energy and exuberance you have. The challenge is, without proper instruction you can waste this priceless asset leaving you feeling disappointed, frustrated and overpowered with nothing to show for your effort.

I hope you now understand how and why you satisfy others rather than self. Through these points, you can change your perspective and have more energy and more fun enjoying life. And this would definitely amaze you!

Good Communication Skill: How Do I Acquire Good Communication Skill Quickly If I Am A Poor Communicator?

Good communication skills on a can telephoneIf you are a solo professional or entrepreneur, one of the key to your success is to have good communicator Skill. One of the concerns that can drive you crazy is If somebody is stressed out, they need to step back and start listening. They need to take that on themselves.

Wayne: Is that right?

Cecil: No. You can’t do that because you are too stressed out to even consider it. You’re an intelligent person, we give you credit for that, but you’re tied up in a knot. In that state, you’re oblivious to everything.

What I’ve found from my private practice is that nothing happens and this continues and continues until somebody says, “I’m leaving the relationship,” or “I’ve had enough of this. I’m going to go.”

That’s how clients come to me. They say, “Cecil, I’ve been to therapists and I still have this problem. Nobody seems to help me.

What’s the problem?”

Then I say, “Nobody is listening to you.” I teach them how to listen, and then all of a sudden the relationship comes back together and they are fine.

The problem is that you need to hit a bump in a road or something has to happen in that relationship so somebody says, “I’m leaving,” and then they say, “We’d better get some help.”

That’s the only time both parties realize that nobody is listening, and it’s the only time people can be helped.

This will continue and it will get worse. Everything is going faster and faster, and that will continue and stress a relationship.
It doesn’t matter if it’s you and your partner, you and your boss, or you and your children. Nobody listens to anybody.

I feel sorry for the children because most parents today don’t listen to their children.

They’re too busy being busy. We have a very serious problem here and I don’t know what we’re going to do about it.

No matter how long you have been in business, chances are you are missing the key to be good communication skills. The good news: So used the information I outlined above to solve your problem and insure your healthy and happy life style.

Managing Workplace Stress: 3 Devastating Consequences Of Not Managing Workplace Stress And How You Can Avoid Them…

Stress Less Entrepreneur having funThroughout the many years that I’ve worked with, encountered, and observed businessmen, entrepreneurs, small-business owners and even corporate workers, I’ve come to realize that many of them still believe that workplace stress is an inevitable and unsolvable problem.

I’m here to tell you that not only is this untrue but managing workplace stress is as easy as breathing.
Some common causes of workplace stress are improper time management and failure to delegate work assignments.

Sometimes, you find yourself buried under so many tasks that have to be done within the day and yet you still refuse to delegate some of the responsibilities to people you work with or that work for you.

Constantly subjecting yourself to this kind of stress will inevitably create more problems than solutions. And when this happens, you either spiral down or shell out serious hard earned money to pay for professional help.

The reason people work so hard is to be able to afford not only the necessities in life but also the luxuries.

Now, some people work too hard that they find themselves unable to enjoy the luxuries that they can now afford.

This can be easily remedied. All you have to do is keep reading on and remember the 3 devastating consequences of not managing work place stress and how you can avoid them.

Mistake #1:

-Time Mismanagement.

Avoiding workplace stress is as simple as drawing up a schedule and sticking to it.

With that said however, it is important that throughout the day, schedule some flexible downtime so that you can recharge yourself with simple breathing exercises or just simply sit back and allow your body to rest.

You’ll be surprised how much more productive you can be after you’ve taken a few minutes to recharge your mind and body.

Mistake #2:

- Taking on more than what you can handle.

While it is commendable and surely promotion-worthy to be as productive and accommodating as possible, sometimes it is also detrimental and causes workplace stress.

Know your limits and capabilities.

Check your resources and your ability to follow through before you take on commitments at work.

It is always better to surprise clients by delivering more than you promised than disappointing them by falling short.

Mistake #3:

- Over fraternizing with workmates.

While it is important to have camaraderie in the workplace we sometimes forget to maintain our professionalism.

Sometimes, we develop friendships and relationships with our coworkers that we forget we’re professionals and have to conduct ourselves accordingly within the workplace.

Nothing causes stress more than unnecessary drama in the workplace.

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in the business. It is still important to take these 3 simple points that have been discussed and to make sure that you remember them. Managing workplace stress is easy when you know what to do and what not to do. You can reap the benefits of a fruitful workday and still achieve your career goals without compromising your health and well-being.

Relief From Stress: The 3 Secret Weapons For Your Relief From Stress…

Business Man Relief From StressIn all my years of working with entrepreneurs, solo-preneurs and baby boomers, I have come to one very alarming conclusion – they all have a problem slowing down.

Everything they do is a manic race towards achieving the bigger, better goal.

They’re afraid that if they took the time to slow down, everything they have worked for up to that point will have been wasted or worse, taken away from them.

I am here to tell you that you can put to rest that fear once and for all. I’m going to tell you how you can keep having a productive life at a slower, healthier and more productive pace.

Sometimes in our eagerness to keep pushing ourselves to achieve our goals, we are forgetting that life isn’t a 100 meter dash.

Life is a marathon, with hurdles and obstacles that can be overcome and breezed through without compromising our health and lifestyle.

Once we remember this key wisdom, we are all well on our way to mastering the 3 secret weapons for relief from stress.

Key #1 – breathe. Sounds easy enough, right?

Some may even say that it’s elementary or basic. Well, if it is, then you won’t have any problems mastering it.

Scientific research shows that when you regulate your breathing correctly, the supply of fresh oxygen will help you think more clearly and focus on the task at hand.

When you are focused and clearheaded, no task is insurmountable. Whether you are sitting down or standing up, make sure that you take slow, deep breaths.

Key #2 – eat healthy. Is it an easy thing to do?

Eating healthy doesn’t always mean going on a diet.

It only means that you need to be conscious about what you eat. A balanced, healthy daily food regimen will definitely help reduce or even remove stress factors that hinder you from achieving your goals properly.

Food is the fuel from which your body takes its energy from so make sure you’re fueling up your body correctly.

Key #3: – rest. Life shouldn’t always be about working.

Think of it this way.

You may be able to work the whole day for a few days and then eventually, your body will be so stressed out from lack of rest and energy, it will break down on its own to recharge itself and you will lose out on some opportunities because you were in bed, sick.

However, if you recharge your body by resting when you should, it will continue to give you the energy you need to achieve your goals. Set aside time for relaxing.

Get in bed and just relax.

You can still achieve your goals but remain stress-free. There’s no need to sacrifice your health for the promise of wealth.

When you follow the three simple steps that have been outlined for you, relief from stress won’t be far behind. Live the lifestyle you want and enjoy it. With these tips, you definitely can.

Are You Missing This Short Cut On How To Avoid Procrastination In Your Relationship?

Cat Napping on a bookYou keep on putting things off, saying, “It’s going to be stressful. I don’t want to deal with it.”

You can look at any aspect of your life, whether it’s about money, family or, more importantly, your health. That’s more important because I work with heart, stroke and cancer patients in the hospital and I see how many of them put things off.

I see 29-year-old men living in the hospital. I see 40-year-old young people in the hospital with strokes and heart attacks.

I teach relaxation in the hospital by their bedside. When I talk to them, they say, “Man, I never thought I would be in here. I never thought to slow down.”

The myth is if you keep on going, going, going all the time, you will avoid everything bad and you will get what you want. The myth is that’s not going to happen.

You could end up with a heart attack, stroke or all kinds of health issues because the body can only take so much.

As soon as the body has had enough and you feel tension, you start to see manifestations in the body.

Wayne: Is it hard for a lot of people to realize this until they’re actually lying in a hospital bed?

Cecil: Yes. I know this from my experience. I’m also a product of it because when I came to Canada, I got my degree from a university. I actually had forsaken everything my grandmother and the people in Barbados taught me for the almighty dollar.

Wayne: What was the difference between your teachings in Barbados and in Canada?

Cecil: Here in Canada, after I went to the university, I became consumed with the idea that you have to go after the almighty dollar. You have to make the big bucks. For me, it was work and money. Nothing else really mattered. That’s not what I was taught in Barbados.

Wayne: What were you taught there?

Cecil: I was taught that you need to live a balanced life. Money was not the be all and end all. Work was not the be all and end all. You need to have a balanced situation.

I went to two extremes. One was work and the other one was seeking the money. I did make the money. I got everything I wanted. Then I went bankrupt and I got divorced. That’s when I spun around and reverted to what my grandmother taught me.

I’m actually a product of the process. This is what I’ve experienced personally.

No matter how long you have been in business, chances are you are missing this shortcut on how to avoid procrastination in your relationship. The good news: So pick one of the ideas my grandmother taught me as I outlined above to solve your problem and insure your healthy and happy life style.

16 Suprising Symptoms Of Stress …

Physical Symptoms Of StreeeIn my many years of working with entrepreneurs and solopreneurs most of them are busy trying to make money so that they can become independently wealthy.

This goal allows them the freedom to have the time to spend with family and friends and should be encouraged.

However, this desire for success is often associated with forcing things to happen quickly at the expense your health. Being so busy and always on the go clouds your mind and dulls you sense so much so that you forget to slow down and take a break.

Interestingly enough, there are all kinds of signs screaming (S.O.S) at you to stop and pay attention.

Here’s the good news: There are several indicators that will not only solve most of your health problems but make you wealthy and healthy in the process. And I am about to reveal 16 of the best ones.

1. Fatigue and insomnia – a dangerous mixture that will ultimately affect your physical health.

2. Discomfort, aches and pains with no known cause, therefore no known cure. What can you do to feel better – everyday?

3. Chronic, unexplained depression or anxiety – a major contributor to heart disease and high blood pressure and kidney disease.

4. A sore jaw (from clenching teeth) – especially in the middle of the night!

5. Recurring headaches, dizziness and/or a feeling of being disconnected that doesn’t go away with O-T-C remedies – no matter how many you try!

6. Sexual problems including erectile dysfunction (ED) and loss of libido that can add even more stress to a stressful, important relationship.

7. Sudden weight gain or loss – even when you’re not counting calories. Sound familiar?

8. Indigestion, constipation and other problems within the gastro-intestinal tract despite numerous changes in diet and eating habits. These stress-induced physical problems will have an effect on your long-term physical health. Eliminate the stress, eliminate the physical symptoms altogether.

9. Anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other eating disorders are common indicators of stress and, because these disorders can be life threatening, professional intervention may be required. Some anorexics require in-patient treatment!

10. Cold, sweaty palms and uncontrollable trembling even when there’s no perceived danger. Your stress triggers may be all around you – even in once-comfortable surroundings like your home or workplace.

11. Agoraphobia (fear of leaving the safety of your home) often leaves sufferers housebound. They are afraid to even go to the mailbox. It’s a very constricting life, one that is rarely filled with happiness.

12. Rapid loss of hair is another common stress symptom. It can affect men or women and is often confused with normal hair loss caused by the aging process. Sometimes, it’s not.

13. Inability to maintain focus on the task at hand makes everything difficult at home and on the job. Another danger? Driving while distracted. And if the kids are in the car…

14. Increased social isolation and the decline of once-solid personal relationships that are critical to good emotional health. We all need a support network. Stress and depression can undo that support network in short order.

15. Poor work performance that may lead to job loss – another stressor to add to the pile.

16. Increased alcohol consumption or use of contraband drugs to dull the senses and relieve the anxiety. These may be temporary “cures” but the underlying problems remain when the “buzz” wears off – and the cycle repeats itself each day

No matter how long you have been in business, chances are you are ignoring one or more of these 16 symptoms of stress. The good news: So pick the symptom or symptoms you need to pay attention to, from the ones I outlined above to solve your problem and guarantee your healthy, wealthy and happy life style.

Relieve Stress and Anxiety: Are you missing this shortcut to relieve stress and anxiety in your relationship?

Relieve Stress and AnxietyIn all my years of working with entrepreneurs and solopreneurs I am amazed at the challenge they have being heard in their personal relationship.
It breaks my heart when two people have to shout and scream at each other in order to be understood.
Where is the love?

Well there are simple strategies that will not only relieve stress and anxiety, but will give you the ability to communicate so much easier. The good news is I am about to reveal three best strategies to you.

Make a list of what you want done:

If you have been asking your partner to close the lid on the toilet seat after use but they never get it.

Here’s what to do:

Step #1:

Instead of repeating yourself by saying the same thing over and over again, write out what you would like your partner to do. You can put it in an envelope or just write it on a piece of paper.

An even more interesting thing to do would be to draw a picture of what you have written. In other words make a visual representation of what you want to say instead of writing.

You see some people are visual and respond better to images and colour.

Step #2:

The response:

Your partner might laugh at your drawings or be surprised at your letter. At least now you have their attention. You may ask them what they think about your note. They may even get offended.

Just remember your outcome is to have a resolution to your problem. So you need to keep calm about their response. This is critical. They are entitled to their opinion and we are not using abusive language or forcing communication.

Step #3:

The solution:

If the response is positive and you get their agreement – congratulations! You’re done.

If, on the other hand, they have an objection then you acknowledge their concern (you need to be relaxed and quiet).

Next you ask what they would suggest to solve the problem (closing the lid of the seat cover after use). This is very important because now they are actually providing a solution to your problem.

Simply follow the steps above and you will get to relieved stress and anxiety in your relationship. Now, I challenge you to do something about your problem by finding a piece of paper and follow the strategy I outlined above.

We eagerly look forward to hearing your stories of success and even enjoying life’s challenges by means of these new approaches. Peace.

Relieve Stress: Three Low Cost Secrets To Relieve Stress At The Check Out Counter…

Relieve Stress by Juggling PrioritiesIn my 14 years of working with entrepreneurs and soloprenuers, I realized that they would like to learn how to slow down and smell the roses. However, they always seem to pick ways that cost them a bundle of money.

One way to do this is by going on an exotic holiday. Depending on your financial situation you can put the holiday on your credit card or you can save for that holiday.

But what do you do in the meanwhile?

Where can you find opportunities to stop and slow down on a regular basis? Well, your wish is my command.

Here are three terrific very low cost secrets to enjoying stress relief and really touching someone or making a wonderful connection.

And unlike what you may have been conditioned to think, these simple exercises won’t break the bank, but maybe put money IN the bank.

And more surprisingly, you can find these exercises in the line at the checkout counter.

Compliment a person:

Have you been in a hurry and are about to leave the store with a couple of items, however, when you get to the checkout counter there is a long line up?

Here is your chance to stop and take a break. Life gives us these wonderful opportunities ever so often.

Be genuine when you compliment the person in front or behind you.

This could be the first positive comment that person might have heard for the day.

Start a conversation:

You could alternatively start a conversion about the weather. The secret is to keep the conversation positive. So if the person starts to complain about the weather- you could say something like “if this line was not so long we would have never met. What do you do for a living?” Be creative, you’ll come up with something.

The customer in front of you is short 24 cents for the bill…pay it.

You’re in the line and you are talking to the person beside you only because the quick check out is slow and there is a long line.

So you have this amazing conversation going and as your friend is about to check out they are 24 cents short. Here is an opportunity for you to help out unconditionally, because chance are you’ll never meet that person again.

Think of all the positive energy and great feeling that person will have for the balance of the day.

Guess what?!

You got a chance to slow down and relieve stress.

One of the biggest obstacles that prevent entrepreneurs and solopreneurs from finding opportunities to take a break is that they are too busy.

I hope I have helped to change your thinking. When you realize how simple and easy it is to relieve your stress on a daily basis, you will look forward with excitement to search and find more opportunities to have fun each day.
