‘So You Think You Can Dance’: A Tribute to Breast Cancer Fighters

Before the performance, choreographer Tyce Diorio explained, “I just felt compelled to talk about breast cancer and a friend who was faced with it.” The piece moved the entire judging panel to tears. Nigel Lythgoe proclaimed that it reminded him why he loved dance so much and, “If this isn’t a [an Emmy] nomination next year, I’ll be hugely surprised.” Nigel called the powerful lifts and leaps amazing, and admitted he completely lost it when Melissa pounded her fists against Ade’s chest.

Improve your health and enjoy stress relief by forcing life

You can improve your health and enjoy stress relief by forcing life or going with the flow. Harry desperately needed stress relief. The harder Harry went looking for stress relief the farther away he felt he was becoming.

I met Harry on one of my regular visits to hospitals as a volunteer who facilitate relaxation by the bedside in 3 minutes or less for heart, stroke and cancer patients.

Let me explain

Harry’s progress was up and down like a toilet seat. I met Harry about six weeks ago. I suggested to him that he take it easy and enjoy life.

Take this opportunity to learn to slow down and be grateful for small blessings. Harry however had a totally different opinion. Harry believed that you can improve your health by forcing the process of healing.

You see one week ago Harry got better and was supposed to be discharged from the hospital. Harry got really excited and started asking all kinds of question. Harry put this pressure on himself because of all the questions he was asking the nursing staff and he had a relapse.

Next two weeks Harry recovered and was supposed to go home again. The following morning Harry’s left leg was swollen and Harry again tells me he wants to go home. In the meanwhile most of the patients I had been seeing in the last six weeks were all discharged from the hospital.

So what is the moral of the story?

Your mind is a very powerful tool which can create illness or heal your body. You mind cannot heal if you constantly force the process of healing. The healing process happens naturally with proper care, rest, and mind set.

When you attempt to force the process of healing consciously or unconsciously you only extend the length of time it takes before you improve your health and enjoy stress relief.
