Can Mindfulness Help Manage Pain and Mental Illness?

Mindfulness MeditationAre you an overwhelmed entrepreneur suffering from excruciating pain?

Does this pain keep you up at night and cost you mega bucks in prescriptions?

You may have tried different approaches but nothing seems to work. However, do not lose sight of your dream of fabulous health and happiness because help may be close at hand.

I came across a very interesting article on mindfulness.

“The idea of mindfulness comes from Buddhism and is key to meditation in that tradition… Mindfulness helps people with cycles of pain and anxiety, expert says. Therapists use mindfulness to help eating disorder patients manage emotional pain.”

The question is: Can mindfulness help manage pain and mental illness?

Childish vs. Childlike…

When I was much younger I would get angry for about two weeks over one simple issue and my god father told me that when I learn to harness my “angry energy” I will have amazing results.

Through my journey over the years I have taken my god father’s advice and the results are incredible.

So when you consider ways of dealing with overwhelming stress do you complain and blame the weather and the government?

Do you ignore it by suppressing your feeling with coffee or drugs?

Do you get annoyed or are you annoying?

I came across an intriguing article Childish vs. Childlike  which has a fascinating twist.

Success is Not About What You DO…

Success - Say NOWhen I was I divorced I realized that it was necessary to say no and not feel guilty.

I also discovered that the fewer things that I focused on while ignoring all the other distractions was one of the steps in my recipe for beating overwhelm and being a success

You see the fewer things I focused on, I focused with laser vision and I was not distracted by the latest fad or how much money I am being paid to change my focus.

I ran across an interesting article on success and how Sir Richard Branson demonstrated this concept.

Read the full story on success.
