You can learn how to stay focused and stop being mean, stingy and cheap to get attention.Mary wanted to experience stress relief in her relationships but all she seemed to be attracting were partners who were mean, stingy and cheap. So Mary requested my assistance to help her solve her problem.
Let me explain
Mary had lots of shoes and she was always well dressed. She was so well dressed that every strand of her hair appeared to be always in place. Mary always got compliments about the way she dressed and her shoes accentuated her wonderful presence.
Mary could find the best deals for the most expensive shoes and she knew where and when to buy her shoes.Mary was very successful at acquiring a stable of shoes over the years. Some of her friends claim that she reminded them of Imelda Marcos. Now with this beautiful collection of shoes you would think that this would make Mary happy.
Unhappy with attachments
Mary was unhappy because she got attached to her shoes. Although her shoes provided her with all the attention she so desperately needed. With some facilitation Mary discovered that she married in order to get attention.
Marriage, shoes and a relationship
So when she got married she surrendered herself. Now after marriage she has her shoes and a relationship. Mary realized that her shoes and her attitude towards purchasing her shoes were all related.
When she purchased her shoes, Mary admitted that she had a mean, stingy and cheap attitude. She stayed focused on spending as little money as possible to buy shoes in order to get attention. Therefore she acquired fabulous shoes with very little money. Through her success and attachment to shoes Mary had became consumed by being mean, stingy and cheap in order to get attention.
Bought shoes at retail
Consequently, her friends and her partner were attracted (the law of attraction) to her like a magnet of mean, stingy and cheapness. After Mary discover the root of her problem, for the first time in her life went to the store, ask the sales person for help and bought a pair of shoes at retail in less than 5 minutes.
So what is the moral of the story?
Seeking attention in life can cause you to lose focus. When you lose focus because of external desires, you may also lose your sense of self. This feeling of lost of self can create shocking helplessness because you may try to find yourself by not listening, and ignoring all the subtle messages that are presented to you daily to help you understand your challenge.
