You can let go of control and lose weight loss if you stay focused on what you want. Mary wanted to experience stress relief by reducing her weight but she always seem to put on more weight or maintain her overweight. She asked me to help her solve her weight problem.

Let me explain

Mary was holding onto to everything in her life. “Holding on” for Mary meant that she wanted to be in charge of everything. She wanted to protect her children so that they did not make mistakes.

She wanted to tell her husband how to live his life. Even at work when the window cleaners came to clean the windows she would ran after them if she felt they missed a spot.

Nobody was doing anything the way she wanted it done. Apparently, Mary’s way was the only way or so she thought. I explained to Mary that she could not continue holding onto to everything.

Mary through my facilitation finally admitted that she knew what I was saying all along. However her logical mind kept on getting in the way. Her insights and present understanding now allows her to see her daily problem, issues and stresses from a different perspective.

Mary is also aware of the fact that not only has she been taking on the weight of the world but she has also been carrying (wearing) the weight of the world on her body. This is one of the reasons for her being overweight and unable to lose weight.

So what is the moral f the story?

Sometimes you are to close to the forest to see the trees. When you view the feelings of your challenges from a different perspective like seeing the trees within you, then you have the power to make the appropriate changes within.

You may also realize or not that most things on the outside are out of your control.
