Stress Relief strategies for Busy Business people so that they can stay focused and avoid stressful situations like worrying about the future. Stress relief is very easy to accomplish if you apply the appropriate strategy.

Stress Relief strategies are very simple if you were to practice some form of relaxation more often. However, busy business people must first decide what they want in order to experience stress relief.

Let me explain:

Brenda is a first year university student. She is worrying about how she is going to pay back her student loan 5 years from today.

What is it that Brenda wants?

Does Brenda want to finish here second year and then her third year? No! No! No! Brenda is today thinking of finishing her 4th year. The problem with this strategy is that Brenda is focused. This focused energy however, does not allow Brenda to focus for success and enjoy the moment.

Brenda’s story reminds me of Henry another client who wants to buy a house. Henry wants to buy a home for his wife and family. He has qualified for a mortgage. Henry does not want to be in debt and so to be a home owner and have a mortgage creates a very stressful situation for him.

Unless Henry has the cash to pay for the house he will have to take out a mortgage. A mortgagewif as you know comes with a monthly payment. Wait there is more… his wife is bugging him to buy a house. Henry is in double trouble because he really does not know what to do or whom to please.

Henry like Brenda is focusing on what they do not want. Henry does not want to be in debt and Brenda is worrying about paying off her student loan.

One way you can constantly feel overwhelmed is to focus on what you do not want.

Busy business people may take a moment to see if there are focused. If they are focused, are they focused on what they want or what the want to avoid?

So what is the moral of the story?

You cannot focus on avoiding stressful situations in order to experience stress relief.
