Stress relief strategies when you do not have money are easy to enjoy when you are no longer interested in pleasing other people. Let me explain

Mary experienced stress relief by putting highlights in her hair. Mary enjoyed the compliments she received from other people, but became stressed about going to the hair dresser to get her hair done.

Stressed about going to the hair dresser

You see Mary noticed that she no longer needed to put highlights in her hair because of the stress she endured. Mary was very stubborn and ignored her understanding.

Did not have any money

One day Mary did not have the money to go to the hair dresser to get her hair highlighted. However her co-workers are now complimenting Mary on her beautiful hair.

Conditioning

You may have been conditioned all your life to satisfy others and although you know intellectually that it creates stress you still continue to do it. Then some simple situation happens (not having money to go to the hair dresser) which causes you to experience your intellectual understanding.

So what is the moral of the story?

An intellectual understanding is knowledge. The experience of an intellectual understanding is wisdom.
