Stress relief thoughts can help you to be more productive. The beautiful thing about thoughts is that you can have any kind of thoughts you desire. Whether you have positive or negative opinions you cannot turn off your thinking.
Your thoughts are going to determine how successful you are in coping with your daily stresses.
Let me explain.
Mary came to see me and requested my assistance because “I am paralyzed in my life. I have been trying to create change for years.” I suggested to Mary that she first need to change her present state by examining herself. It is important that you take stock of your present resources so that you know what is missing.
How do you take stock of your resources?
In order to discover what resources are missing you need to take a piece of paper and draw a line down the center. On one side of the page you list your negative thought and on the other side your positive thoughts. This information tells you visually about you resources.
What do we do with our thoughts?
Generally speaking when you’re stuck it is because of your state of mind. Yes, your thoughts and feelings. What we try to do with our thoughts is to get rid of them.
Attempting to lose your thoughts only worsens the situation. I admit that we are busy but we need to find a way to stop. We need to pause and observe our thoughts.
How do we take a break in our busy day?
Taking a 20 minute break each day is necessary. I am not talking about a coffee or a smoking break. I am talking about a reflective or meditative break.
Having a pause or slowing down is a way to take a break. When you learn how to slow down on a regular basic you will gain profound insights. Consequently you will stop rushing and be more productive.
So what is the moral of the story?
To ensure good health we need to practice taking a break or meditative pause on a daily basic for at least 20 minutes per day.
