In my 14 years of private practice, I have found that we put ourselves in the background.

We only pay attention when there are health issues or consequences for lack of looking after ourselves.

I asked an interesting question the other day. I asked someone, “Do you have a heart?” and they said, “Yes.” I asked, “Which side is it on?” and they had no clue!

That’s the problem. We take our bodies for granted.

We have issues with looking after the body and think it will always be the way it is.

It hurts my heart to see good intention entrepreneurs suffer from overwhelming stress rather than have an annual physical. What do you do for a living?” Be creative, you’ll come up with something.

The customer in front of you is short 24 cents for the bill…pay it.

You’re in the line and you are talking to the person beside you only because the quick check out is slow and there is a long line.

So you have this amazing conversation going and as your friend is about to check out they are 24 cents short. Here is an opportunity for you to help out unconditionally, because chance are you’ll never meet that person again.

Think of all the positive energy and great feeling that person will have for the balance of the day.

It is very difficult to drive your car without gas or fuel. Likewise it is very difficult for you to function if there is not enough fuel in your body.

So you need to eat properly, meaning, having three proper meals a day. These meals need to be balanced with all the proper food that contain the essential vitamins and nutrients that your body needs. Avoid binging on fast food entrees that have high salt and fat content.

Start by having a healthy breakfast every day.

4. Manage your caffeine fixation

Do you find yourself needing a caffeine fix to get through the day?

A cup of coffee is good but if you’re not careful you may sooner or later find yourself needing several jolts of caffeine just to make it through the day.

Remember, the more coffee you take, the more coffee you need. And that’s not a good thing.

So coffee is only a temporary fix and there are other natural ways to boost your energy without caffeine.

No matter how long you have been in business, chances are you are missing one of the four key steps to stay stress-free. So try and follow the steps to make sure that you can work hard but not suffer hard.
