Scientific research shows that when you regulate your breathing correctly, the supply of fresh oxygen will help you think more clearly and focus on the task at hand.

When you are focused and clearheaded, no task is insurmountable. Whether you are sitting down or standing up, make sure that you take slow, deep breaths.

Key #2 – eat healthy. Is it an easy thing to do?

Eating healthy doesn’t always mean going on a diet.

It only means that you need to be conscious about what you eat. A balanced, healthy daily food regimen will definitely help reduce or even remove stress factors that hinder you from achieving your goals properly.

Food is the fuel from which your body takes its energy from so make sure you’re fueling up your body correctly.

Key #3: – rest. Life shouldn’t always be about working.

Think of it this way.

You may be able to work the whole day for a few days and then eventually, your body will be so stressed out from lack of rest and energy, it will break down on its own to recharge itself and you will lose out on some opportunities because you were in bed, sick.

However, if you recharge your body by resting when you should, it will continue to give you the energy you need to achieve your goals. Set aside time for relaxing.

Get in bed and just relax.

You can still achieve your goals but remain stress-free. There’s no need to sacrifice your health for the promise of wealth.

When you follow the three simple steps that have been outlined for you, relief from stress won’t be far behind. Live the lifestyle you want and enjoy it. With these tips, you definitely can.

But what do you do in the meanwhile?

Where can you find opportunities to stop and slow down on a regular basis? Well, your wish is my command.

Here are three terrific very low cost secrets to enjoying stress relief and really touching someone or making a wonderful connection.

And unlike what you may have been conditioned to think, these simple exercises won’t break the bank, but maybe put money IN the bank.

And more surprisingly, you can find these exercises in the line at the checkout counter.

Compliment a person:

Have you been in a hurry and are about to leave the store with a couple of items, however, when you get to the checkout counter there is a long line up?

Here is your chance to stop and take a break. Life gives us these wonderful opportunities ever so often.

Be genuine when you compliment the person in front or behind you.

This could be the first positive comment that person might have heard for the day.

Start a conversation:

You could alternatively start a conversion about the weather. The secret is to keep the conversation positive. So if the person starts to complain about the weather- you could say something like “if this line was not so long we would have never met. What do you do for a living?” Be creative, you’ll come up with something.

The customer in front of you is short 24 cents for the bill…pay it.

You’re in the line and you are talking to the person beside you only because the quick check out is slow and there is a long line.

So you have this amazing conversation going and as your friend is about to check out they are 24 cents short. Here is an opportunity for you to help out unconditionally, because chance are you’ll never meet that person again.

Think of all the positive energy and great feeling that person will have for the balance of the day.

Guess what?!

You got a chance to slow down and relieve stress.

Spiritual Relaxation: Being in the Moment for the Dentist.

In the moment for the dentistI recall a time when I went to visit my dentist. There was a couple – husband and wife – in front of me and I particularly noticed that the wife, let’s call her Susie, was very nervous.
 
Susie was sitting hands tightly clasped and inserted between her legs. Her legs were crossed at the ankles and she would constantly rock back and forth as she peeped around the corner to see if the dental attendant was coming to get her.
 
Her husband understood her fear of visiting the dentist and was doing his best to calm her down.
 
He jokingly asked her if she needed a rum and coke. She replied that “rum straight up would be better”.
 
So Susie continued to rock back and forth in the chair with her arms tightly clasped between her legs and her legs crossed at the ankles peeping around the corner to see if she will be called next.
 
But here’s something interesting:
 
Seeing Susie’s dilemma, I spoke to her suggesting that she pretend that she was in Mexico on the beach in a bikini. Susie said “no bikini but a full length bathing suit with rum in her hand.”Let’s take a closer look:

Her arms came from between her legs and rested on the arm of the chair. Her legs uncrossed at the ankles and she sat in the chair totally relaxed for a moment.

But guess what?

As soon as she remembered that she was not actually on the beach in Mexico and heard her inner chatter of all the negative thoughts of being in the dental chair – her arms returned between her legs, and her legs crossed at the ankles.

And believe it or not, then she started rocking back and forth looking to see when she would be called in the have her teeth cleaned.

What’s this got to do with you?

You’ll be glad to know that it’s all about Spiritual Relaxation and being in the moment.

Here’s the real truth.

When I suggested that she pretend that she was on the beach in a bathing suit, she became totally relaxed and was experiencing spiritual relaxation.

You see we all experience spiritual relaxation on a daily basis. The problem is, that it is very fleeting and out of our consciousness just like Susie.

Here’s the real kicker:

The reason why we have this problem is that we do not have a practical stress relief program that teaches us how to access that experience FROM our unconscious mind under any circumstance.

Astonishing isn’t it?

So you see being in the moment (spiritual relaxation) is not the problem. And what’s worse…

…is the lack of a practical and proven stress relief program that teaches you how to find that moment when necessary.

It’s true that you practice spiritual relaxation for fleeting moments each day.

Health and Fitness: Can You Have One Without the Other?

Couple enjoying health and fitnessHealth and fitness are partners in living a happy and fulfilling life. It is nearly impossible to enjoy your life to the fullest without being healthy. Part of being healthy is being physically fit.

Your quality of life will decrease if you are obese, abusing drugs or alcohol, or not getting the rest your body needs.

We want the best quality of life that is possible. A good health and a fitness program will help us have that.

What is the most overlooked key to health and fitness?

One of the most important and most overlooked keys to good health is starting your day with breakfast. Your body has gone without food for the night as you slept. You need to fill up your tank before you start the day.

This has several benefits; the most important being it jump-starts your metabolism and helps you burn fat.

Here are some good choices for breakfast…

Good choices for breakfast include whole grain cereals, yogurt and fruit, and whole grain toast with peanut butter. You will notice that foods with refined sugars are not included in what is considered a healthy breakfast!

Ok, I understand I need to have a healthy breakfast. How do I make physical activity  a part of my day?

How can you make physical activity a part of your day?

Stay active during your day. You can make time for physical activity even if you are holding down a job or spending six hours in class. Try to get in at least 30 minutes of exercise each day.

OK, let’s look at some simple ways to stay active.

There are simple ways to get in physical activities. Use stairs instead of an elevator and park farther out in the parking lot and walk those few extra steps. Take a break every hour when you get up and get your body moving.
